Adeyfield West

Adeyfield West is a residential ward located on the western side of Hemel Hempstead's original post-war new town development. The area is characterised by its grid-like street patterns and a mix of housing, primarily from the mid-20th century, including terraced homes, semi-detached properties, and some low-rise flats. The layout follows the neighbourhood planning principles of its era, with homes arranged around communal greens and pedestrian pathways.

The ward contains several local amenities for residents, including Adeyfield Academy and a parade of shops serving everyday needs. Large areas of open space and playing fields are integrated into the design, with the Grand Union Canal forming a green corridor along its southern boundary. The area's design is a direct reflection of its planned post-war origins, creating a distinct and functional suburban community.
