Arrow Valley & Ipsley

Arrow Valley Country Park sits on the River Arrow within Redditch and is centred on a man-made lake formed by damming the river. The park includes a visitor centre, marked footpaths and cycle routes that link into the town, fishing platforms and a sailing club that runs dinghy sessions on the water. Walks follow wetland margins and open grassland, and benches and picnic areas are placed around the lake for short stops. Seasonal birdwatching and community events take place around the visitor hub and car park areas.

Ipsley lies immediately to the east of the park and mixes housing with business premises on the Ipsley Industrial Estate. Streets in Ipsley provide several direct access points into the country park, so residents often walk or cycle there for leisure or commuting. Local shops and a community hall serve day-to-day needs, while larger shopping and rail connections remain in central Redditch a short distance away. The close siting of the park and the sailing club makes the Arrow Valley–Ipsley corridor a common local route for outdoor activity.
