Bacton

Bacton ward encompasses a stretch of the North Norfolk coastline centred around the village of Bacton itself. The area is dominated by the large Bacton Gas Terminal, a major industrial facility that processes natural gas from the North Sea. This infrastructure defines much of the immediate landscape and local economy. Inland, the terrain consists of flat, open agricultural land typical of the region, with fields and drainage channels.

The coastal section features sandy beaches and eroding cliffs, with the villages of Bacton and Paston directly on the shore. The historic Paston Church, known as the 'sailor's church', stands perilously close to the cliff edge due to coastal erosion. The ward is a functional mix of industry, residential areas, and farmland, with a quieter character compared to more tourist-focused settlements further along the coast.
