Balby Carr

Balby Carr lies on the southern edge of Doncaster, characterised by its low-lying, historically marshy landscape. The area is primarily residential, with a mix of housing estates and local amenities serving the community. Its topography is notably flat, a remnant of its past as part of the Humberhead Levels, an extensive area of wetland that was drained over centuries for agriculture and settlement.
