Beechill

Beechill ward sits in the northern part of the Lisburn and Castlereagh district. The area is primarily residential, characterised by housing developments and local community facilities. It is bordered by the Saintfield Road to the east and the Lagan Valley to the west, placing it near natural corridors. The ward includes the neighbourhood of Ballymacoss and is situated close to the larger retail and transport hub of Lisburn city centre.

The ward contains the Beechill playing fields, which serve as a significant local green space for recreation. Residential streets are organised around several primary schools, emphasising the area's family-oriented nature. A notable local landmark is the distinctive water tower situated near the Hillhall Road, a visible feature on the skyline. The area provides practical access to the wider road network, including the A1 corridor towards Belfast.
