Blaby

Blaby ward covers the central area of the Blaby district, centred on the historic village of Blaby itself. The area includes residential neighbourhoods and local commercial services along Leicester Road and Lutterworth Road. The ward contains the district council offices and several community facilities, including the Blaby Stokes Centre. The layout is characterised by a mix of older village properties and more modern housing developments from the latter half of the 20th century.

The geography is predominantly low-lying, with the northern boundary formed by the River Sense. A notable local feature is the presence of the old Blaby brickworks, which historically contributed to the area's development. Land use includes playing fields, allotments, and the grounds of Blaby Stokes Primary School. The area functions as a local administrative and service hub for the wider district, with transport links focused on the A426 road corridor.
