Bowling Park

Bowling Park lies just north-east of Bradford city centre and is best known for its municipal green space at the heart of the neighbourhood. The surrounding streets are mainly rows of terraced houses and pockets of later semi-detached homes, with local shops, schools and places of worship within easy walking distance. Public transport links run along the main roads, giving direct connections into the city for work and services. The park itself follows the slope of a shallow valley and is laid out with formal paths, sports pitches, a play area and tree-lined walkways. A bowling green, set down into the hillside and bordered by terraced lawns, sits close to the park’s central promenade and is regularly used for local fixtures.
