Bridge ward is situated in the north-western part of the London Borough of Redbridge. It encompasses the residential areas of Clayhall and parts of Gants Hill. The ward is primarily residential, characterised by semi-detached and detached houses built largely in the interwar and post-war periods. Its streets are arranged in a quiet, suburban layout with a significant amount of green space from private gardens and several local parks.

The area is well-connected by road, with the A12 Eastern Avenue forming a major route along its southern boundary. Local commerce is focused along local parades, particularly on Clayhall Avenue. The ward contains the Fairlop Waters country park, a large former gravel pit site transformed into a leisure area with a sailing lake, golf course, and extensive walking paths around its perimeter.
