About

Bridlington East sits on the Holderness coast with a working harbour, two sandy beaches and a long promenade that follows the sweep of the bay. The Old Town clusters around Bridlington Priory and the fish quay, where trawlers still land catches and the quay-side buildings show the town’s maritime links. Streets behind the seafront step up from the beach towards the residential wards, and local services and transport links connect the area into the wider East Riding network.

A few miles north, Flamborough occupies the chalk headland that projects into the North Sea. The headland’s white cliffs, sea caves and narrow coves such as North Landing and South Landing are cut with tidal gullies and natural arches, and seabirds nest on the cliff faces. Flamborough Head lighthouse stands on the promontory above the stacks, and footpaths along the Heritage Coast give direct access to the cliff edge, fossil-bearing foreshore and sea-worn rock formations that define this coastline.
