Broadstone

Broadstone lies to the north of Poole town centre within the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary area. The area is centred on a shopping parade with independent shops, a library and a health centre, served by local schools and community groups. Housing is largely residential, with a mix of terraces and semi-detached streets and small pockets of allotments and sports pitches used by local clubs. A former railway alignment runs through Broadstone as the Castleman Trailway, providing a long stretch for walkers and cyclists that connects the suburb with nearby green spaces. Small parks and recreation grounds sit close to the centre and host seasonal markets and community events. Local civic facilities and volunteer organisations maintain the village feel, and the trailway’s route is a visible reminder of the area’s transport history while also forming a practical corridor for everyday travel and leisure.
