Chasetown

Chasetown ward lies in the northeast of the Lichfield district, primarily encompassing the residential area of Chasetown itself. The settlement developed historically around the local mining industry, with its street layout and housing reflecting this industrial past. The landscape is characterised by suburban streets and areas of green space, including Chasewater Country Park, which is a significant local feature.

The ward contains Chasewater Reservoir, a large body of water created to serve the now-closed collieries. This reservoir and its surrounding heathland form a central recreational space for walking and wildlife. The area maintains a distinct community feel, separate from the more historic centre of Lichfield to the southwest, with its own local high street and amenities serving the residential population.
