Chinbrook

Chinbrook sits in the London Borough of Lewisham, centred on Chinbrook Road and the green open space of Chinbrook Meadows. The area is largely residential, with stretches of terraces and interwar housing and a local parade of shops along the main road. The River Quaggy runs through the meadows; the stream was taken out of a culvert and allowed to follow a meandering course, creating shallow channels and a floodplain that now hosts sports pitches, a play area and informal wetland planting. That stretch of river and the park define much of the local footprint and provide space for weekend sports and short walks.

Local connections are practical: bus routes run along the main roads and Grove Park station is a short walk for rail services into central London.
