Clare & Shuttern

Clare & Shuttern is a primarily residential ward on the western edge of Tiverton, bordered by the River Exe and the Grand Western Canal. The area encompasses suburban housing estates, local shops, and schools, serving as a home for many who work in the wider town. Its landscape includes gentle slopes leading down to the waterways that define its boundaries.

The Grand Western Canal, a historic horse-drawn barge route, runs through the ward, offering a linear park and towpath for walking and cycling. This corridor provides a distinct green space amidst the housing.
