About

Codsall sits in the South Staffordshire district just northwest of Wolverhampton. The civil parish covers Codsall village along with Oaken and the residential area called Codsall Wood. The village is served by Codsall railway station on the Shrewsbury–Wolverhampton line, which provides regular local train services and links for commuters. Roads and lanes connect the parish to neighbouring suburbs while small pockets of farmland and planted belts remain within the parish boundary, marking the shift from suburban to semi-rural landscape.

The centre of Codsall is focused around a short high street and Station Road, with local shops, pubs and schools serving the parish. Codsall Community High School is the main secondary school for the area. Community clubs, sports pitches and allotments are spread through the village, and many activities are organised through the parish council and local halls. Residential streets change from interwar terraces to later suburban estates, and the presence of the station within walking distance of the shops shapes daily life for residents.
