About

Congresbury sits on the Congresbury Yeo in North Somerset, close to the A370 between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. The village is centred on St Andrew’s Church, whose tower dates from the medieval period, and agricultural land runs up to Cadbury Hill, an Iron Age hill fort that looks down over fields and lanes. A mix of local shops, a community hall and a few pubs serve residents, and the river and surrounding ditches reflect the area's long history of drainage and meadow management.

Kewstoke lies on the coast at Sand Bay, facing the Bristol Channel and protected by a continuous sea wall and a belt of dunes. The shoreline supports seasonal bird movements and wide tidal flats at low water, and a coast path links the village with neighbouring beaches. Housing and small farms back the dunes, while a village green and hall provide local meeting places. Traffic on the coastal road and the sight of the sea at extreme tides are part of everyday life here.
