Corfe Mullen

Corfe Mullen ward lies in eastern Dorset, primarily consisting of the large village of Corfe Mullen itself. The area is characterised by residential neighbourhoods interspersed with areas of woodland and heathland, notably the fringe of Upton Heath to the north. The landscape gently slopes towards the River Stour, which forms part of its western boundary. Local infrastructure centres on a few key roads, with the village having its own shopping parade and community facilities, including schools and sports clubs.

The settlement retains a semi-rural character, with older cottages near the historic church alongside modern housing developments. A network of footpaths and bridleways connects to surrounding countryside, including the Stour Valley Way. The local economy is largely residential, with many residents commuting to the larger towns of Poole and Bournemouth to the south. The ward's geography is defined by the broad floodplain of the Stour and the ridge of higher ground upon which the older village core is situated.
