Cullercoats is a coastal village in North Tyneside, located between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. The area is known for its sandy beach, sheltered bay, and historic fishing heritage. The harbour, built in the 19th century, remains a focal point, with traditional fishing cobles still used by local fishermen. The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding, while the surrounding cliffs offer scenic coastal walks.

The village features a mix of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, with rows of terraced houses and a small commercial centre. Cullercoats Metro station provides easy access to Newcastle and other parts of Tyne and Wear. The area has a few cafes, pubs, and independent shops, along with the Watch House Museum, which highlights the village’s maritime history. The nearby Cullercoats Lifeboat Station, operated by the RNLI, adds to the area’s strong connection to the sea.
