Drumquin ward lies in the western part of the Fermanagh and Omagh district, centred on the village of Drumquin. The area is characterised by low, rolling hills and agricultural land, with the Drumragh River flowing through. The landscape is a mix of active farms, small woodland patches, and scattered rural dwellings. The local economy has traditionally been connected to this land-based activity.
The ward contains the historical site of the Drumquin Motte, an Anglo-Norman earthwork fortification. The area is traversed by the main road linking Omagh to Castlederg. Community life is focused around the village, which contains a shop, a primary school, and several places of worship, serving the wider rural population across the townlands.
