Dunstable East

Dunstable East is a mainly residential quarter covering the eastern approaches to the town centre. Streets range from terraced rows to semi-detached houses and small blocks of flats, with local parades of shops, takeaways and community facilities serving daily needs. There are several primary schools and a community centre that hosts groups and occasional markets. Light industrial and business units sit along the main access roads, providing local employment without extending far into the housing areas.

The area is served by frequent bus links into the town centre and by a network of footpaths and cycle routes that cross the neighbourhood. A long, narrow recreation ground runs through the east, with a surfaced cycle path and allotment plots used by residents for small-scale growing. Pocket parks, play spaces and mature street trees break the built-up areas, while a nearby civic library and health services sit within easy walking distance for most homes.
