East Park

East Park ward lies in the eastern part of Wolverhampton, bordered by the city centre to the west and the Wednesfield area to the north. The residential streets are primarily composed of Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, alongside some inter-war and post-war developments. The ward is defined by its large namesake green space, East Park, which opened in 1896. This Victorian park features a boating lake, conservatory, and extensive recreational grounds. The parkland forms a significant green corridor alongside other spaces like the Showell Park playing fields. The area includes the historically distinct neighbourhoods of Whitmore Reans and parts of Low Hill, with their own local centres and community facilities.
