Erith West

Erith West is the western portion of Erith in the London Borough of Bexley, close to the town centre and within easy reach of local shops, schools and small parks. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, interwar suburban streets and later council estates. The area is served by Erith railway station on the North Kent Line, with frequent services into central London (London Cannon Street) and across the Dartford corridor, making commuting straightforward for residents.

The neighbourhood sits near the Thames, where the foreshore and riverbank record an industrial past: old wharves and a few dockside cranes remain along stretches of the riverfront. Local provision includes community clubs, a library and sports facilities, and the high street supports independent traders alongside routine services. Development along the riverside and town centre regeneration have altered some sites, but streets off the main roads retain a largely residential character and practical access to bus routes and the A206 corridor.
