Ewhurst & Ellens Green

Ewhurst & Ellens Green ward encompasses a largely rural area in the northwest of Waverley, bordering Surrey. The landscape is characterised by scattered settlements, farmland, and significant woodland, including parts of the Hurtwood. The ward's population is distributed between the historic village of Ewhurst and the smaller hamlet of Ellens Green, alongside many outlying farms and homes connected by narrow, winding lanes.

The area maintains a quiet, residential character with a strong community focus centred around local schools, the village shop, and the parish church. A notable feature is the presence of the Peace Garden, a community space created from a former quarry. The surrounding countryside offers extensive public footpaths and bridleways, particularly on the wooded hills of the Greensand Ridge, which provide elevated views across the Weald.
