Fetcham

Fetcham is a residential village situated on the northern edge of Mole Valley, bordering the town of Leatherhead. The area is characterised by a mix of housing, from post-war developments to older properties, set along roads that follow the gentle topography. Fetcham is divided by the River Mole, which flows through its centre, creating a distinct separation between Fetcham and the neighbouring Fetcham Park area to the east. Local amenities are concentrated along the main thoroughfares, serving the community's daily needs.

The village retains several areas of open space, including Fetcham Grove and the sports fields adjacent to the river. The historic St. Mary's Church, with origins dating to the 12th century, is a focal point near the riverbank. A notable local landmark is the distinctive Fetcham Mill House, a former watermill that stands as a reminder of the area's historical connection to the river's power, its large wheel still visible. The surrounding landscape includes wooded slopes that form part of the North Downs.
