Freckleton Village

Freckleton Village ward lies in the western part of the Fylde district, characterised by open agricultural land and residential development. The area includes the historic village core along Preston Old Road and the more modern housing estates to the south and east. The landscape is generally flat, with the River Ribble forming a significant boundary to the south. This is a primarily residential area with local shops and services centred on the main village square.

The ward's geography is marked by the former Freckleton Airfield, with its long, straight perimeter roads now integrated into the local network. Large fields separate the village from the neighbouring settlement of Warton. Community facilities include a primary school, sports fields, and several churches. The area maintains a distinct separation from the more industrialised zones near the river estuary, preserving a village atmosphere amidst the wider Fylde landscape.
