Frinton

Frinton ward occupies a coastal section of the Tendring district, its boundaries largely defined by the North Sea to the east and the railway line to the west. The area is primarily residential, characterised by tree-lined avenues and detached houses set back from the quiet roads. Greensward, a notable area of open grassland, runs parallel to the seafront, separating the beach from the housing.

The beach itself is a broad expanse of sand and shingle, backed by the iconic wooden groynes that segment the shoreline. A single road, Connaught Avenue, forms the main commercial spine, hosting a collection of independent shops and a grocery store. The ward maintains a distinct separation from the neighbouring settlement of Walton-on-the-Naze, with the golf course and railway acting as a physical demarcation.
