Furnace Green

Furnace Green is a residential ward located in the northeast of Crawley. The area is characterised by housing estates primarily built in the late 20th century, with a mix of detached and semi-detached homes. It contains several local parks and green spaces, such as Furnace Green itself, which provide recreational areas for residents. The neighbourhood is served by local shops and amenities centred on the parade at Furnace Drive.

The ward is bordered by the A264 to the north and Tilgate Forest to the south, offering easy access to both major roads and woodland. A notable local feature is the historic furnace pond, a remnant of the ironworking industry that once operated in the area. Furnace Green Infant School and Oriel High School serve the community.
