Hammerwich with Wall

Hammerwich is a civil parish located to the north of Lichfield, with the Wall ward forming its southern boundary. The area is characterised by residential developments and open countryside, including agricultural land and woodland. It is situated near the major transport corridor of the A5 and the M6 Toll motorway, influencing its semi-rural character. The local geography is relatively flat, typical of the region, with scattered farms and smaller settlements within the parish boundaries.

The Wall ward specifically encompasses the historic site of Letocetum, the remains of a Roman settlement and bath house. This archaeological site is a significant feature, situated on the course of Watling Street. The area otherwise consists of a mix of housing and green spaces, with the wider parish containing the village of Hammerwich itself.
