Harefield

Harefield ward is located in the north of the city, bordered by the M27 motorway. The area is primarily residential, characterised by suburban housing estates built in the latter half of the 20th century. It includes the neighbourhoods of Harefield itself and parts of Lordshill, featuring a mix of detached homes, terraces, and some low-rise apartment blocks. The ward contains several local schools and community facilities, serving its settled population.

The area's landscape is defined by the wide, green corridor of the Monks Brook waterway, which threads through the ward. This natural feature provides a network of pedestrian paths and open spaces, separating residential zones. A local landmark is the Lordshill District Centre, a compact retail hub with supermarkets and essential services. Public transport connections focus on bus routes linking residents to the city centre and nearby Southampton General Hospital.
