Henwick

Henwick sits on the north bank of the River Severn a short distance west of Worcester city centre. The area is largely residential, with housing from the late 19th century through the mid 20th century lining streets that run roughly parallel to the river. Henwick Road is the main local spine, carrying shops, takeaways, small businesses and community facilities, and it links into the city road network. A narrow riverside corridor runs alongside much of the neighbourhood, shaping property lines and footpaths close to the water.

Public footpaths along the bank give direct access to riverside walks and to local green spaces used by dog walkers and commuters. Regular bus routes serve the area into the city centre and out to the ring road, so Henwick functions as a residential quarter with easy links to Worcester’s services and shops.
