Heworth South & The Groves is a residential district just northeast of York's city centre. The area is primarily known for its late Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses, many featuring distinctive bay windows and red brick. Quiet, tree-lined streets characterise the neighbourhood, which sits between the River Foss and the main road leading out towards the village of Heworth.
