Heysham and Overton form a coastal area on the southern side of Morecambe Bay, within the Lancaster district. The landscape is characterised by low cliffs, rocky shorelines, and expanses of salt marsh. Heysham is a working port with ferry services to the Isle of Man, lending the area a distinct maritime character.
