About

Humberston is a village and civil parish in North East Lincolnshire, immediately west of the Cleethorpes seafront and north of the Humber estuary. The built area is largely residential, with a parish church, a primary school and local shops serving the community. A short distance from the main road the land drops to a coastal fringe where a single line of timber holiday chalets sits behind the dunes; this row of inter‑war chalets, known locally as the Fitties, fronts the shoreline and gives the sea edge a distinctly coastal character.

Away from the coast the parish blends into farmland and small green spaces, and paths run out across the dunes and along the foreshore. Transport links include bus services into nearby urban centres and local road connections that carry commuter traffic. Community activities centre on the village hall, school and church, while the coastal strip provides seasonal walking and birdwatching opportunities focused on the estuary and beaches directly adjacent to Humberston.
