Kingsbrook

Kingsbrook ward is located on the eastern edge of Bedford. The area is primarily residential, featuring a mix of housing developments from recent decades alongside older properties. It contains several local schools, parks, and playing fields that serve the community. The ward is bounded by the A421 road to the south, which provides a major transport link.

A significant feature of the area is the Kingsbrook Valley, a green corridor following a brook through the neighbourhood. This includes the Bedford River Valley Park, which offers walking routes and wetland habitats. The local landscape is characterised by these open, managed floodplain meadows, which integrate with the newer housing estates.
