Lammack & Revidge

Lammack and Revidge sit on the western edge of Blackburn, with streets climbing from the town centre up toward a moorland ridge. The area mixes late-19th-century terraced streets close to the town with later suburban housing on the higher slopes. Lammack Road runs through the lower part of the ward, linking to bus routes that serve the town centre. Day-to-day life centres on small shops, community facilities and parish churches that anchor the neighbourhood rather than on large retail or leisure complexes.

On clear days the higher streets around Revidge open out, giving long views across Blackburn and the valley beyond; the change in level is obvious in the way roads rise toward the skyline. Small pockets of scrub and field separate the housing from open moorland, and the pattern of back lanes and narrow terraces reflects the area’s industrial-era growth. Local groups use community halls for events and practical services, and travel into Blackburn remains a short journey for work, schools and other services.
