Leasowe and Moreton East

Leasowe and Moreton East is a coastal ward on the northeastern tip of the Wirral Peninsula. The area is dominated by residential housing, with a mix of post-war estates and some older terraced homes. It is bordered by the Irish Sea, featuring a long stretch of shoreline and the Leasowe Lighthouse, a historic brick structure which is a local landmark. The flat, open landscape is influenced by its position on the Mersey estuary.

The ward contains large areas of green space, including the Leasowe playing fields and the North Wirral Coastal Park. Moreton is a distinct neighbourhood with its own commercial centre along Pasture Road. The area is notably traversed by the Wirral Way, a popular path for walking and cycling that follows the route of a former railway line along the coast, connecting to wider networks.
