Lewes Castle

Lewes Castle ward is situated directly north of the historic town centre, encompassing the steep slopes of School Hill and the surrounding residential streets. The area is dominated by the Norman castle itself, which sits atop a prominent mound, offering views across the Ouse Valley. The ward's narrow, winding lanes and tight-knit housing reflect its medieval origins, with many structures built from the local flint.

A specific feature is the presence of the Barbican House Museum and the adjacent remains of Brack Mount, a second motte.
