Lower Edmonton North

Lower Edmonton North sits in the south-eastern part of the London Borough of Enfield, centred on Edmonton Green. The high street and outdoor market run alongside Edmonton Green Shopping Centre and the station, with a mix of terraced streets and post-war estates behind them. Regular rail and bus services link the area into central and north London, and the market stalls still line Fore Street on busy days, forming a local trading hub for produce and household goods.

The Meridian Water regeneration site occupies the eastern edge of the neighbourhood, where a new station replaced the old Angel Road halt and new housing is being built beside the River Lee Navigation. The river and the Lee Valley Regional Park form a green corridor at the neighbourhood’s edge, used by walkers and cyclists. Local community centres and sports pitches provide social and recreation space, while small industrial units and workshops remain along parts of the riverside, preserving the area’s working-land use pattern.
