Milford & Hordle

Milford & Hordle is a coastal ward on the western edge of the New Forest district, bordering the Solent. It encompasses the adjoining villages of Milford on Sea and Hordle, along with outlying hamlets. The area features a mix of residential development and local commerce, centred around village high streets. A long shingle beach and coastal path define its shoreline, with views towards the Isle of Wight.

The hinterland includes agricultural land and edges of the New Forest's open heath. The area is known for its historic sea wall and the remains of Hurst Castle, accessible via a long shingle spit. Local facilities include schools, sports clubs, and independent shops serving the resident community. The landscape transitions from coastal edge to more wooded and farmed parish land inland.
