Milton, Fen Ditton & Quy

Milton, Fen Ditton and Quy lie to the northeast and east of Cambridge, strung along the River Cam and the edge of the surrounding fenland. Milton fronts the river and contains Milton Country Park, where lakes occupy former clay pits and are ringed by paths and reed beds. Fen Ditton sits directly on the Cam with a compact village street, riverside moorings and a village church that anchors its historic core. Stow-cum-Quy lies a short distance inland on slightly higher ground, with narrow lanes giving onto fields and drainage channels typical of South Cambridgeshire's fen-edge landscape.

Local life turns on the river, small greens and the network of cycleways and footpaths that link the three settlements to one another.
