Nantwich South and Stapeley

Nantwich South and Stapeley is a primarily residential ward on the southern edge of the market town of Nantwich. The area encompasses suburban housing estates, local shopping parades, and several primary schools, serving as a commuter base for Crewe and wider Cheshire. The ward is defined by the Shropshire Union Canal, which forms a green corridor along its western boundary, and includes the distinct community of Stapeley to the east.

The landscape transitions to more open land and agricultural fields towards its southern edges. A notable local feature is Stapeley Water Gardens, a large aquatic plant centre and retail complex that draws visitors from across the region. The area is practical in character, with good road links via the A51 and A500, connecting residents to major employment centres while maintaining its own functional identity separate from the historic town centre.
