Overslade & Bilton

Bilton sits just east of Rugby town centre and began life as a separate farming village before the town expanded in the 19th century. The area still has a compact village core with a green, a parish church, local shops, a village hall and a primary school. Bilton Road runs through the neighbourhood and links the village to the wider road network and to town services. Remnants of old field boundaries can still be traced in the street pattern around the green, reflecting the village’s agricultural origins.

Overslade lies adjacent to Bilton and was built mainly as a mid‑20th‑century housing estate. The estate contains primary provision, small parks and a community centre that stage local activities and sports. Residents of both areas commonly use the same bus routes into Rugby and share access to supermarkets, health services and secondary schools in the town. The two places are closely connected on foot and by road, so everyday shopping, schooling and leisure tend to flow between Overslade and Bilton.
