About

Peel Common ward lies on the northern edge of Gosport, characterised by residential neighbourhoods and significant areas of open space. The housing is primarily a mix of post-war estates and more modern developments, providing homes for a large portion of the borough's population. The area is bordered by the Newgate Lane and Alver Valley green corridors, which separate it from neighbouring Fareham.

A notable feature is the Peel Common water recycling centre, a major regional facility that serves much of south Hampshire.
