About

Pimlico North sits inside the City of Westminster on the northern edge of Pimlico, where a rectilinear street plan and short terraces mark the streetscape. Much of the area was laid out and built by Thomas Cubitt in the mid-19th century, and the pattern of stucco-fronted terraces and gated communal gardens remains legible: Warwick, St George’s and Eccleston squares form a chain of private green spaces set behind railings. Mews and narrow service streets run between the terraces, and a number of the original lamp standards and railings survive close to the squares.

Along the Thames edge the post‑war Churchill Gardens estate occupies a long strip with access to the riverside walk and a sequence of wide residential blocks. Pimlico station on the Victoria line gives a direct link north to Victoria and east to central London; buses run along Vauxhall Bridge Road and Lupus Street. Local amenities include small shops, cafes and community centres positioned around the northern grid, and resident-only garden keys remain a practical part of daily life for many properties.
