Preesall, Stalmine & Hambleton

Preesall, Stalmine and Hambleton sit on the eastern side of the Wyre borough, on the low-lying coastal plain of the Fylde. The parish combines farmland, salt marsh and small village centres linked by the A588 and a network of lanes. Hambleton occupies a narrow peninsula beside the River Wyre, with the main road running along its spine between marsh and river; that long, linear approach shapes how the village meets the estuary. Preesall and Stalmine lie a little inland, where field patterns, drains and hedgerows mark an agricultural landscape and a parish church and village halls form local focal points.
