Ringwood North & Ibsley

Ringwood North is a residential area situated just outside the northern boundary of the New Forest National Park. It offers a mix of housing and local amenities, serving as a practical gateway to the open heathland. The terrain here begins to shift from suburban streets towards the characteristic open landscapes of the Forest, with some properties backing onto wooded fringes and quiet lanes.

Adjacent to it, Ibsley is directly within the New Forest and is dominated by its vast heaths and the River Avon. The area is known for the now-closed Ibsley airfield, whose concrete runways remain a prominent and unusual feature amidst the grazing ponies and heather. This creates a distinct contrast between historical infrastructure and the natural, managed common land.
