The town has a market-place of small shops, cafés and independent traders and acts as the local service centre for surrounding farms and hamlets. Longframlington lies on the A697 between Morpeth and Wooler and functions as a village hub for the surrounding arable and pastoral landscape. The settlement is arranged along the main road and is served by a village hall, a pub and local services that cater to neighbouring farms.
