Rothwell

Rothwell is a market town situated in the northeast of Northamptonshire, within the borough of North Northamptonshire. The town's historic core is arranged around a large market square, which continues to host regular markets. This central area contains a mix of local independent shops and services, with residential streets radiating outwards. The town's economy has traditionally been connected to the boot and shoe industry, though it now functions primarily as a residential settlement.

The surrounding landscape is characterised by gently rolling countryside, with the town positioned on a ridge above the valleys of the River Ise and Willow Brook. A notable local feature is the medieval parish church of the Holy Trinity, which contains a unique and well-preserved ossuary, or bone store, beneath its chancel. Public green spaces include the Saxon Paddock and the recreation grounds, providing areas for leisure. Rothwell maintains its own distinct identity separate from the larger urban areas of Kettering and Corby to its south and north.
