Teddington

Teddington ward sits in the southwest of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, bordering the River Thames to the east and Bushy Park to the west. The area is primarily residential, characterised by a mix of Edwardian and Victorian terraced houses, along with some modern apartment developments. Its streets are arranged in a largely grid-like pattern, leading down towards the riverside. The ward includes the main shopping area along Broad Street and High Street, which serves the local community.

The defining geographical feature is the Teddington Lock footbridge, connecting the area to Ham on the opposite bank. The ward is directly adjacent to the National Physical Laboratory and the historic grounds of Bushy Park, with its woodland gardens and herds of deer. Teddington Studios, a long-established centre for television production, is a notable local employer. The riverside path provides views of the weir and lock complex, a key point on the tidal Thames.
