Tring North

Tring North is a ward within the borough of Dacorum in Hertfordshire, covering the northern part of the town of Tring and the streets that spread out from the town centre toward the Chiltern escarpment. The area mixes housing from different periods with local shops, small commercial streets and community facilities. Tring railway station sits on the rail corridor serving London Euston, providing a direct commuter link that shapes travel patterns for many residents. Local roads connect into the Aylesbury and A41 corridors without crossing into neighbouring districts.

Open land and water features lie immediately north of the built-up area. A string of reservoirs was constructed to feed the Grand Union Canal and these waters and their margins are routinely used by birdwatchers and by people walking from the town. Community provision includes primary schools, sports pitches and neighbourhood groups that use village halls and parish amenities. Day-to-day life in the ward is organised around these local services, the station and access to countryside on the town’s northern fringe.
