Valley Park

Valley Park ward lies on the eastern edge of the Test Valley borough, adjacent to the city of Southampton. The area is primarily residential, characterised by modern housing developments built from the late 20th century onwards. It functions as a commuter settlement, with good road links to the M27 and M3 motorways facilitating travel to larger urban centres. Local amenities include retail parks, supermarkets, and several schools serving the community.

The ward contains areas of managed green space, including playing fields and the woodland of Hiltingbury Lakes, which offers walking routes. The Monks Brook watercourse runs through parts of the area. Its identity is distinct from the historic villages and downland that characterise much of the rest of Test Valley, representing a more recent phase of expansion. The nearby Chilworth railway station provides a direct link to Southampton.
